Nate served as Deputy General Counsel to Utah Governor Gary Herbert. In that capacity, Nate advised the Governor and his executive staff on constitutional issues and policy decisions, reviewed bills that were introduced in the Legislature, and drafted executive orders, proclamations, and memos.
Nate now is a transactional attorney who focuses his practice on securities laws and corporate governance. Nate drafts and negotiates debt and equity transactions, including venture capital investments and mergers and acquisitions, as well as deal-related documents.
Matthew is a fierce advocate for policyholders. Matthew has worked in various areas of insurance. He has worked for insurance companies as both an agent and an independent adjuster. He now works as a public adjuster representing policyholders on their insurance claims. During his time as an adjuster, Matthew has traveled from coast to coast and has seen firsthand the devastation from the severe weather and natural disasters. He has helped thousands of policyholders in Utah with damages from hurricane-force winds to some of the worst hailstorms in the state's history. He has an undying dedication to protect the insured and make sure they are made whole from their losses. As the Chairman of the Board at Utah Policyholder Initiative, Matthew strives to make sure there is a fair and balanced approach to claims settlements and there is a voice for the little guy. He believes that promises made should be promises kept. Matthew and his wife Diana live in Payson and are the parents of 4 awesome kids.
Scott Ericson has been involved in Utah politics for 20 years. As former Deputy Commissioner at the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food, Scott worked hand in hand with legislative leadership and associates at the Utah Department of Health to craft the statutory and regulatory framework for the Utah Medical Cannabis Act and the rules associated with it. Prior to his work with the state, Scott served as the Northern Utah Director for Congressman Rob Bishop working with local governments from throughout Northern Utah to understand their issues and assist in their interface with the federal government. Scott also served for 7 years as a Brigham City Councilman. He also has served on numerous boards and commissions, including Chairman of the United Way of Northern Utah, the State Boys and Girls Club Alliance, the Box Elder Chamber of Commerce, and the Utah State University-Brigham City Campus Advisory Board.Scott and his family live in Bountiful. They have 5 energetic children and a mini goldendoodle.
